IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Changes to Barrettine Universal Wood Preserver

Dear Customers,

We are writing to you to inform you of a formulation change to our Universal Wood Preserver which will trigger a new approval number. The reason for the change is that the fungicide currently used “Propicanozole” will no longer be permitted for use by amateur users. Barrettine Universal preserver is widely used by both amateur and Trade/professional users and so to make distribution straight forward for our supply partners, we have switched the fungicide active to a “Tebuconazole” which is approved for both amateur and professional use.

The quality and performance of the product continues to meet with the appropriate industry standards and remains a high-quality multipurpose preserver protecting against both woodboring insects and wood rotting fungi.

To help Customers manage any stock they are carrying now and moving forward, we have highlighted the important phase out dates below, along with product images.

* Please note, Barrettine Universal preserver containing Propicanozole can still be sold to Trade/ Professional users beyond the  31st April 2020 date.

For our Distribution Partners/Customers that sell our products on, we respectfully ask that this information is communicated on to your customers and throughout your supply chain.

New Replacement Barrettine Universal Clear Preserver. The new Barrettine Universal Clear Wood Preserver will be available to purchase as from end of February / early March 2020. The new approval numbers will be HSE:10007. PCS: 9843
